Custom Tours of Scotland
All of the tours that I provide are personalised and unique to those who book me - no two tours are the same. Firstly, before drawing up your tailor made itinerary, I will ask you if you have any specific places that are on your must-see list and in addition I will ask if you have any particular interests to take into account, such as; whisky, hiking, photography, art, gastronomy etc. Taking that information into account I will then incorporate it with my own suggestions of places to visit, logistics, restaurants and hotels etc. and build your customized itinerary from there. A personalized Scottish road trip itinerary allows you to explore our beautiful country at your own pace, in your own time and visit the places you would like to see, and the places I think you must see! Enjoy the incredible scenery and relax in the comfort of my spacious eight seat minivan as I tell you about some of the rich history, culture, amazing people and places as we pass through them, stopping at some selected special spots for you to experience these amazing island first hand.
Accommodation & Dining

I can recommend accommodation along the route to suit your budget and requirements, from hostels, Airbnb, comfortable B&Bs to three, four & five star luxury hotels. In addition, with my local knowledge I can direct you to the best places to eat, from fantastic cafes, fish and chips, country pubs to great seafood restaurants or fine dining. As most accommodation providers offer a very filling breakfast, you might prefer to grab a sandwich for lunch to maximise your tour time. Most areas, with the exception of the most remote parts of the Highlands have a wide choice of places to eat or grab a takeaway.
Where To Go In Scotland?

As well as Scotland, I can also incorporate any of the other nations in the British & Isles into a Scottish tour itinerary allowing you to choose from a Ireland & Scotland Tour, or a Scotland and Northern England Tour. In addition I can create a combined Whisky Tour itinerary so that you can have the flexibility of including non-distillery sights and attractions to provide variety and something for the non-whisky drinker. If it suits your travel plans better I can arrange to collect you from one city/country and drop you off in another. For example you could start your tour in Glasgow and finish it London or begin your itinerary in Dublin and end in Edinburgh. Check out my multi-day iitineraries, day trips from Edinburgh and Glasgow pages for more inspiration.
Submitting A Tour Enquiry...
Having a unique itinerary drawn up for your custom tour of Scotland is simple - all you need to do to begin the process is to let me know the following:
- Any relevant interests (walking, history, whisky, photography, gastronomy, arts & crafts etc)?
- what, if any, are your must see sights/towns/areas?
- number of passengers (including children)?
- your preferred tour date(s), if known, or number of days?
Whether this is a trip of a lifetime or your tenth visit to Scotland, building a custom tour takes time. Itinerary proposals usually go through a few drafts as I build up a tour based on the criteria that you have provided plus some of my own insights and recommendations based on two decades worth of experience as a bespoke tour builder. There is absolutely no obligation or commitment needed from you at this stage.
