Glasgow Distilleries Tour

One Highlander, one Lowlander, & a new kid on the block

Glasgow Distillery Tour From Edinburgh

The Glasgow Distillery Tour takes you to the two closest distilleries to Scotland's biggest city. Auchentoshan and Glengoyne are both highly accoladed for the quality of their whisky as well as providing very professional distillery tours in an authentic working environment. Auchentoshan is a Lowland malt, triple distilled for smoothness that has more in common with some of the Irish whiskeys. Glengoyne Distillery sits in a picturesque setting on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park. It is a Highland malt but only just as the Highland fault line runs only a few metres to the south of the stills!  There is a new kid on the block now in the shape of the Clydeside Distillery, on the banks of the river Clyde close to the city centre and if you wish you can swap this one for one of the more traditional distilleries .

Also included in the day's schedule is a city tour of Glasgow and a drive around the eastern edges of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. I would also be happy to recommend one of the many pubs and country inns in the area for your lunch.
