Loch Ness tours from Glasgow allow you to explore the southern end of the loch, but the real star of the show is the stunning Highland scenery on the way there and back. With so much to see and do in the area it is hard to know where to start! The spectacular journey to Loch Ness will take you through some of the most beautiful areas of Scotland, including the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, up onto Rannoch Moor, down through Glen Coe, where there are plenty of walk and photo options, to the Atlantic Ocean, along Loch Linnhe, through Fort William and the Great Glen, which leading us to Loch Ness. Along the route there are various options for stops, such as; Luss Conservation Village, the Falls of Falloch (aka Rob Roy's Bathtub), Glen Coe Visitor Centre, West Highland Museum, Aonach Mor Mountain Gondola cable car or Inverlochy Castle.

On arrival at our destination, I will take you to the viewpoint for the best panorama of the loch and the perfect photo opportunity in front of the Loch Ness sign. From there you can explore the  picturesque village of Fort Augustus, take a walk along the Caledonian Canal two path or go for a loch cruise for a bit of Nessie spotting. The more adventurous can book a rib boat trip down Loch Ness.

 

The return journey back to Glasgow will transport you through the Cairngorms National Park and Highland Perthshire, with options for stops at the Commando Memorial viewpoint overlooking Ben Nevis, pretty Loch Laggan with views over to Ardverikie House (Monarch of the Glen and Mrs Brown film location), Dalwhinnie Whisky Distillery for a quick tasting, the Victorian era spa town of Inveraray, or the beautiful small town of Dunkeld with its 17th century town square.
